Learning Assessments

The Modern World & Geography lesson plans contain very few tests and quizzes; instead, they offer alternative ways to assess learning. Students can copy passages, draw descriptions, write about key events, list facts, write paraphrases, research reports, and give oral presentations. You will know that your student has internalized the information when he or she starts investigating other subjects and reading outside of school.

7th and 8th graders will get to go places younger students cannot go. Research all your destinations with 2013 World Book Encyclopedia. Travel to Prince Edward Island to visit Anne of Green Gables and fill out the Study Guide. Go with Brother Andrew even further along The Narrow Road. Get captured with Bruchko by South American natives. Listen to what a Muslim woman says when she tells you, “I Dared to Call Him Father.”

With Modern World & Geography lesson plans from the Well Planned Gal, your family will experience world culture one country at a time. Is your family ready to get cultured?

With five kids in their teen and early adult years, Rebecca shares the many ups and downs of parenting, homeschooling, and keeping it all together. As the Well Planned Gal she mentors women towards the goal of discovering the uniqueness Christ has created in them and their family and how to best organize and plan for the journey they will travel.
