Little Words Matter

ORGANIZED UNDER: B&H Kids // Faith & Family // Sponsored Post

Teaching the Bible to little ones is no small task. As every parent knows, toddlers like to wiggle and aren’t yet able to understand some of the huge concepts in Scripture! That’s why B&H Kids has come up with the Little Words Matter™ line of books!

The writers of these books recognize that it only takes a few words to tell a big story.

Toddler Time in the Word

Here are a few tips for making the most of the Little Words Matter books with your toddlers:

Enthusiasm

Be enthusiastic! Make sure to let your little ones know how excited you are to sit down and spend time with them. Excitement is contagious and will set the tone for your time together.

Options

Let your child pick from a stack of books. This might go without saying, but toddlers have an opinion. By allowing them to choose, toddlers may be less distracted, and you’ll likely be able to keep their attention.

Engaging

Keep them engaged. Point out various things in the pictures and have them name different items. For instance, ask your son or daughter if they can find the boat in a picture depicting Noah’s Ark. Praise them when they find what you’re asking them to find.

Together

Make it a family affair. Have siblings join in for the fun. It may not seem like it now, but these will soon be moments that the entire family will enjoy remembering.

Time in the Word never returns void. By starting when your children are little, you will likely be able to build a strong foundation that will last a lifetime. Happy reading!
